1. Introduction

Welcome to Laravel. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or using our services to apply for government-funded energy efficiency improvements, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

We provide energy efficiency assessment, grant application, and installation services under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme and other government-funded programmes. Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.

2. Definitions

  • "You", "Your": The homeowner or property occupier using our services
  • "Services": Our grant application, property assessment, and installation services
  • "ECO4": The Energy Company Obligation scheme operated under Ofgem
  • "Property": The residential property for which improvements are requested
  • "Improvements": Energy efficiency measures such as insulation, heating systems, or renewable technologies

3. Eligibility for Services

Our services are available to UK homeowners and tenants who meet the eligibility criteria for government-funded energy efficiency schemes. Eligibility is determined by:

  • Receipt of qualifying benefits (e.g., Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit)
  • Household income thresholds for the ECO4 Flex scheme
  • Property type, age, and current energy performance
  • Existing heating and insulation status

We will assess your eligibility based on the information you provide. Final eligibility is determined by the relevant energy supplier or scheme administrator. We cannot guarantee approval of any application.

4. Application Process

4.1 Information Accuracy

Providing false or misleading information may result in rejection of your application, termination of services, and may constitute fraud.

4.2 Property Surveys

If your initial application is successful, we will arrange a property survey to assess:

  • Technical feasibility of proposed measures
  • Any health and safety considerations
  • Compliance with building regulations

You agree to provide safe access to your property for surveys and installations at agreed times.

4.3 Landlord Consent

If you are a tenant, you must obtain written consent from your landlord before we can proceed with any installation work. We may require proof of landlord consent before scheduling works.

5. Our Services

5.1 What We Provide

  • Application Management: Submission and management of grant applications

5.2 Service Limitations

We do not guarantee:

  • Approval of any grant application (this is at the discretion of energy suppliers)
  • Specific energy savings or bill reductions (these depend on many factors)
  • Availability of specific products or technologies
  • Installation timescales (these depend on funding availability and scheduling)

6. Installation Terms

6.1 Access and Preparation

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and clear access to all work areas
  • Move furniture and belongings as required (we can assist with reasonable items)
  • Ensure someone over 18 is present during installation works
  • Secure pets safely away from work areas
  • Provide access to electricity and water as needed

6.2 Property Condition

Some installations may require remedial work to your property (e.g., loft clearance, electrical upgrades). We will advise you of any such requirements before proceeding. Costs for remedial work not covered by the grant are your responsibility.

6.3 Quality Standards

All installations are carried out in accordance with:

  • PAS2030/PAS2035 quality standards
  • TrustMark requirements
  • Manufacturer specifications
  • Building Regulations where applicable
  • Gas Safe, MCS, and other relevant certification requirements

7. Warranties and Guarantees

7.1 Installation Guarantee

We provide workmanship guarantees for all installations. The guarantee period varies by measure type and is detailed in your completion documentation. Typical guarantee periods are:

  • Boiler installations: 2-10 years (manufacturer dependent)
  • Insulation: 25 years (TrustMark backed)
  • Solar panels: 10-25 years (manufacturer dependent)
  • Heat pumps: 2-7 years (manufacturer dependent)

7.2 Guarantee Conditions

Guarantees are subject to:

  • Proper use and maintenance of installed equipment
  • Annual servicing where required (e.g., boilers)
  • No unauthorised modifications or tampering
  • Timely reporting of any defects or issues

8. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information throughout the process
  • Respond promptly to requests for information or documentation
  • Keep scheduled survey and installation appointments
  • Notify us of any changes to your circumstances that may affect eligibility
  • Maintain installed equipment according to provided guidance
  • Not remove or modify installed measures without our consent
  • Allow post-installation inspections if required by the scheme

9. Cancellation and Cooling Off

9.1 Your Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel your application at any time before installation begins. If a contract is signed at your property, you have a 14-day cooling off period during which you can cancel without giving a reason.

9.2 Cancellation by Us

We may cancel or suspend services if:

  • You fail to meet eligibility requirements
  • Information provided is found to be inaccurate
  • You fail to provide required access or documentation
  • Installation is not technically feasible
  • Funding is withdrawn or unavailable

10. Complaints Procedure

We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve issues promptly. Our complaints procedure is:

  1. Initial Contact: Contact us by phone or email to report your concern
  2. Investigation: We will investigate and respond within 10 working days
  3. Resolution: We will propose a resolution and agree next steps
  4. Escalation: If unsatisfied, you may escalate to TrustMark or relevant certification body

For disputes we cannot resolve, you may refer to the TrustMark Dispute Resolution service or the Energy Ombudsman.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • We are not liable for losses arising from information you provide
  • We are not liable for grant rejections by energy suppliers
  • Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the funded measures

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is our property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair our services.
